Quan Huang's Award-Winning Interior Design Celebrates Shanghai's Cultural Fusion

Quan Huang drew inspiration from Coco Chanel's quote, "Elegance is not the prerogative of those who have just escaped adolescence, but of those who have already taken possession of their future!" This sentiment is reflected in the design's emphasis on quality and detail, a testament to the designer's pursuit of an exquisite lifestyle. The design captures the essence of Shanghai, a city that has grown more dazzling with each historical epoch, much like a weather-beaten pearl.

The unique properties of Shanghai Grace Seazen lie in its attention to detail and its break from convention. Huang's design concept emphasizes quality and innovation, stepping away from regular work. The use of vintage colors adds a touch of nostalgia and fashion, while the lighting reflects the beauty of flowing time. This old-film style is not just a creative spark, but a step in the long journey of building Huang's 'Shanghai Orient' concept.

The design was realized through a variety of techniques, including rationality, symbolization, decoration, culturalization, and visual optimization. The space, which spans 1800 square meters, is based on a grey color scheme that evokes a sense of nostalgia and modernity. It incorporates various cultural elements in line with Huang's 'Shanghai Oriental' concept. Modern furnishings, elaborate lighting, artistic installations, and rational design all contribute to the creation of an elegant elite style.

The project was completed in Shanghai, China, in April 2018. The design process involved a focus on details while also pursuing freedom and modernism. Huang's concept for the space emphasized quality and innovation, with vintage colors adding a nostalgic and fashionable touch. The use of lighting to reflect the beauty of time passing is a key element of the design, contributing to the 'Shanghai Orient' concept that Huang is building.

Shanghai Grace Seazen was awarded the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is given to outstanding and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom.
